I’m a passionate advocate for inclusive and merit-based workplaces. I’m one of the founding members of the ZIS Professional Women’s Network. Before that I was a member of the WEF Global Council for Economic growth and Social Inclusion, a speaker at the Inclusion Summit at the Paralympics in Rio, a keynote speaker for The Womens Foundation (HK) Mentoring programme, and a speaker and panelist at multiple conferences on topics ranging from The Future of Work, Multi-Channel Organisations to Leading High Performance Teams.

I founded Shanthi Flynn Advisory to provide services from keynote speaking, to board and executive facilitation to people and organisation strategy diagnostics. I draw on my practical insight from serving on 6 Business Executive Leadership Teams, in 4 different Industry sectors – Services, Retail, Manufacturing and FMCG Healthcare.
Experienced HR Leader
I have over 30 years of commercial HR leadership, most recently as CHRO on the Executive Board of the Adecco Group. Before that I was SVP of HR at Walmart Asia based out of Hong Kong, responsible for the People and Organisation strategy for 150,000 retail employees across China, Japan and India. My early experience came from 10 years with Ford Motor Company and as International HR Director, FMCG Healthcare and Retail for the Boots Company plc (FTSE 100).

We are accelerating backwards to a world where only the wealthy can afford education and access to good jobs. Wealth is polarising, so the future is for the privileged few not the smartest or most talented. We have the power to change this story.
We have to raise the stakes on building our own capability and are running out of time. Our world leaders are talking prejudice and division. We need to turn this dialogue on its head. It will need all of our collective wisdom, all of our diversity and all of our expertise to create a future world we all want to live in.
